Your first appointment.
Thank you for your interest in arranging a reflexology appointment
If you would like more information before booking an appointment, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your questions about how reflexology may help you.
What is reflexology?- Click here for a short video link.
Your appointment time period for just this first session only is approximately 1hour-1.15mins. This gives time for a consultation including a short medical history. (Follow-up sessions are 45mins-1 hr.)
All reflexology treatments begin with a discussion enabling me to gain an understanding of your medical history, current symptoms and presenting condition. A bespoke treatment plan is then designed specifically with your needs in mind and subsequent treatments are tailored to each individual.
A series of massage like relaxation techniques will be used to get used to the touch of my hands, and this may help to improve the circulation. The Reflexology itself is a more specific use of finger and thumb techniques to work each area of the foot.
A towel will be wrapped around your feet to complete the treatment and allow the nourishing Reflexology product to be absorbed. The entire process is gentle, and relaxing, some areas of the feet may be tender but should not feel painful.
Some people have found the treatment so relaxing that they need a bit of extra time before going back to work or scheduled activities. To maximize your experience, you may want to allow for this.
Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes, since massage work is done for the ankles and feet.
After Each Appointment
It is recommended that you drink plenty of water during the rest of the day. Your body is nearly two-thirds water and so it is really important that you consume enough fluid to stay hydrated and healthy. If you don’t get enough fluid you may feel tired, get headaches and not perform at your best.
You may have some muscle aches or headache (flu-like symptoms), due to the detoxing effects of reflexology. If so rest, and take plenty of fluids. within 24hrs you should be feeling much better.
Ideally, rest and let the treatment work to balance, restore and rejuvenate you!
Reflexology has an accumalative effect so some find it beneficial to have weekly treatments at first and then wish to maintain their wellbeing with fortnightly or monthly sessions.
Treatments are given at my home alternatively mobile sessions may be arranged at your home if that suits you better.
Please note all client details and records are kept completely confidential. Please refer to the privacy notice for details of how your details are used.
Once you have arranged your appointment, this time will be set aside especially for you. If you need to cancel or re-schedule, please call at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not appear for your session or give less than 24 hr. cancellation notice, the regular hourly fee will apply. Emergency situations will be considered. Thank you.
